The trailer has been specially designed to handle larger drums used in underground cable installation work. The drum is lifted using a hydraulic pump powered by a motor. The pump activates both the left and right loading ramps.Once the drum is lifted to the appropriate height, the arms can be locked. If there is a need to lower the drum, this can be done by controlled release of the hydraulics. The basic structure of the trailer consists of a U-shaped steel frame with a tow hitch located in the center. The trailer is equipped with an adjustable height tow hitch (approximately 580 – 1,150 mm) and a DIN hitch with an internal diameter of 50 mm.A sturdy stand ensures stable positioning of the trailer when it is not connected to the towing vehicle. Four axle ends are arranged in a tandem configuration and secured in suspension arms with air spring units. The trailer's chassis features a double pneumatic braking system with ALB (automatic load-dependent braking) and ABS (anti-lock braking system). The two rear brake cylinders are spring-loaded.

The cable trailer is manufactured and designed according to the latest standards. All our cable drum trailers are CE marked and are delivered fully equipped with a lighting package, allowing their use within the EEA.The trailer is welded from steel, and all steel components are sandblasted and phosphated. The use of zinc-chromate primer and high-quality finish in RAL 2000 orange color ensures long service life.

The width of the trailer can be adjusted hydraulically. Three different widths can be selected, allowing for the transport of drums wider than standard dimensions.

The trailer is equipped with a hydraulic drum drive. A stable friction roller system is mounted on the left and right sides of the trailer frame. The rollers are pressed against the edges of the drum using two corresponding manual steel cable winches.The drum is driven by two hydraulic motors that draw hydraulic power from an onboard power unit powered by a motor. The rotational speed of the drum drive can be smoothly adjusted in both directions. The maximum speed reaches approximately 60 m/min at the edge of the drum.

Two drum axles, needed when the drum trailer has been adjusted to a different width, are stored in the left and right rear arms of the trailer. All drum axles are equipped with sliding bearings and grease fittings.
